From arts and crafts, architecture, dance, design, film and food, all the way to history, walks and tours you will guaranteed be entertained.
Culture Night Ireland is an annual festival which has gone from strength to strength since it’s first appearance in 2006. A wide range of people and institutions get together, sharing the same vision and enthusiasm for creativity and culture. It is this co-operation and promotional efforts of the public, artists, galleries, sports clubs, local authorities, transport companies and many more that brings great success to this annual event.
Having been limited to Dublin only at first, nowadays within just one night some 400,000 people visit museums, galleries, historic houses, artists’ studios and cultural centres across the island.
Culture night is a reminder about the fantastic cultural facilities and resources available locally and nationally. It makes it easier for people to play a role in their local cultural scene, it encourages people to try new things and it most certainly helps create a sense of community and belonging. What’s not to like about that?!
