This was the best of all students we have had so far

When you receive feedback this great from a long-standing and well trusted work placement partner like Click Estates you just know that you are talking about an obvious choice for “Student of the Month”. Czech student Laura Mašijová continues to impress with her brief yet to the point interview revealing Laura’s stardust and maturity pretty quickly.

What sparked your interest in Business Economics?

I was 14 years old when I had to decide what I want to study and at that age I of course didn’t know what I want so I thought that Economics would be the most convenient choice. And after all, I am glad that I decided this way. Besides good friends and knowledge, it brought me this opportunity to be a part of this project.

What was it like working at Click Estate Agents? What were your tasks?

It was really fun. The team was great. They were so friendly and cheerful, I was looking forward to seeing them in the office every day. Most of the time I was working on the computer. Szilvia told me what she needed and my colleague Naty explained and helped me how to do it. I got in touch with clients too.

She helped us a lot with our work and deserves all kinds of compliments

You were nominated because of your exceptional performance at your work placement. What drives you forward?

It’s probably my need to finish everything as perfectly as I can. Especially when someone else has to work with the result of my work.

How has this experience inspired you?

It inspired me to be more relaxed when it comes to work. Sometimes stress and time pressure push you to do better work, but it’s not good for you to be stressed all the time.

What have you found most exciting about working and living in a new country?

I was really excited about meeting new people and getting to know them. I also enjoyed exploring London.

Although she was very young, her performance was exceptional and she went above and beyond

What would your advice be for students who are about to go on the Internship Programme?

Don’t be afraid to speak English. You get better with every sentence, even when you make mistakes. Nobody will probably correct you, because they often make mistakes too.
