Every other month we publish news and updates regarding deadlines, events or changes to our organisation. We believe in transparency, and this way you’re less likely to miss out on information about Erasmus+ and our Internship and Teacher Development programmes. The UK has voted to leave the EU. Although none of us (not even our politicians) know exactly what is going to happen, we are optimistic that we will be able to continue our projects with European schools. It's true that Erasmus+ is an EU initiative, but it's not bound to EU countries (Norway and Turkey are examples of this). The British Council and English UK, the largest British industry bodies that govern international education programmes, have stated that they will do everything in their power to influence the outcome of the referendum. The negotiations relating to article 50, which govern the withdrawal from the EU, will take at least two years, with many believing it will take much longer. The high court has also been told that Britain's Prime Minister Theresa May will not trigger article 50 before the end of 2016. So for the time being, our programmes continue as normal.
2. Say hello to our new Teacher Development Coordinator!
We're proud to introduce our colleague Ventsislava Lazarova, replacing Iuliana Negut as Teacher Development Coordinator. Do you have any questions regarding our courses? Don't hesitate to email email@example.com or call +44 20 8424 9424.
3. Language Development (English lessons)
Our new week-long Language Development course is a great option for teachers who would like to improve their English. The lessons are focused on different skills and systems, such as listening, speaking, grammar and vocabulary, and every class includes moments of discussion. These will help teachers feel more confident and support their students in the classroom. There are still a few places left for the summer course, as well as the autumn/winter dates below:
Monday, 14th November - Friday, 18th November 2016
Monday, 9th January - Friday, 13th January 2017
Monday, 13th March - Friday, 17th March 2017
Monday, 3rd July - Friday, 7th July 2017
