This time we couldn’t help but put forward one of our own work experience students for Student of the Month. Roman Jankowski, who studies IT at ZSTZ Radzymin in Poland, was a great help to ADC's IT and administration departments and performed his tasks with such a great attention to detail that there was a line of people waiting to benefit from his expertise.
We asked the meticulous 18-year-old about his time in London and what he learnt from taking part in our Internship Programme.
What was the best moment of your trip?
Learning about the local culture and doing work experience.
What was your work placement at ADC like?
Very successful. I acquired knowledge that's needed in my industry.
What were your tasks?
Mainly I dealt with databases, but I also had time for disk defragmentation and connecting multiple devices to one computer.
What did you learn from the trip?
It has motivated me to study to become an IT specialist. I also learned how to be punctual and picked up many skills needed for my profession. Being in London, I met a lot of helpful people and got to know British work culture.
What are your plans for the future?
To pass my studies and get my high school diploma.
What would your advice be for students who are yet to embark on this journey?
Don't hesitate if the opportunity arises. Use it. It's worth it.
