General English Language courses of varying duration

Classroom based English language course of 15 hours per week in classes graded by language experience. Our tutors cover all aspects of the language, but, in particular, emphasise speaking and listening skills and vocabulary content. In this way, students are given greater confidence in the use of the spoken language as they share opinions and ideas. ADC College also offers the following other English programmes:

 Individual Study: one-to-one, private lessons with a dedicated tutor. This type of study can be highly customised to individual needs and will address those skill areas that are of particular interest or concern to the student.

Specialised study courses, lessons for small groups of no more than 7 participants. These courses allow the development of a more in-depth appreciation of a specialised subject area. For example, sales, marketing, management, medical, scientific, legal, etc.

Professional development and refresher courses for teachers of English from European countries.

This course aims at helping teachers develop new and innovative ways to engage students in learning English. ADC also offers English courses which integrate the teaching of other subjects. Maximum group of 7 participants and is available only in the summer months.

Preparation courses for English Exams

ADC College is an accredited centre for City & Guilds (also known as Pitman’s) and Trinity College London, Examinations. These are internationally recognized qualifications in English .Language at C2 levels and meet one of the entry levels for British universities.Their wide International recognition also provides evidence to prospective employers (whether in a student’s home country, or elsewhere) of English Language competence.

Exam preparation courses for City & Guilds, Trinity College London or Cambridge

These courses are of varying durations of 4, 8 or 12 weeks depending on starting level; ADC offers standard English courses at 4 levels:

Course to the B1 level on the European Framework

Course to the B2 level on the European Framework

Course to the C1 level on the European Framework

Course to the C2 level on the European Framework

Preparation for the IELTS qualification

IELTS is one of the acceptable entry qualifications in English competence sought by all British Universities (as well as many others inAmerica, Canada or Australia) for a course of study at undergraduate or postgraduate level. Students must be proficient to at least a score level of 7 (7.5 in some cases). IELTS is also recognised by the education authorities in many European countries for undergraduate or postgraduate courses. The qualification comprises the 4 key exam elements: of Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking. The course combines traditional classroom teaching and multimedia learning plus some one to-one language practice. The examinations can only be taken at the end of the course and on specific published dates and times.
