                              Our Cultural and Social Programmes

In addition to the formal learning process, ADC College regularly organises programmes of extra curricular activities. In this way we believe that participating students are able to forge even closer bonds of friendship and gain a deeper and more enduring awareness of the culture that surrounds the language. These activities are organised frequently throughout the summer months and at least twice weekly in the autumn, winter and spring. While some are free and others are offered at a very reasonable cost, all are excellent value and very popular with students.

The options are many and varied. For example, a range of sporting activities available in a modern Sports and Leisure Centre situated a few minutes walk from ADC College. Other activities include learning traditional English folk dancing, dining out in the evenings, local cinema shows or, for the more adventurous – the theatre in the West End of London, tours of the Houses of Parliament, the Tower of London, Westminster Abbey, visits to Piccadilly Circus, Oxford Street and Covent Garden. Then there is the choice of a huge range of truly world famous art galleries and museums. At weekends, trips much further afield are organised to such historic and popular venues as Hampton Court, Windsor Castle, Stonehenge and Stratford-upon-Avon. During the last weekend in august millions of people (from all over the world) join the revellers in the Notting Hill carnival in London. The largest carnival outside South America. Even in winter students have the opportunity to sample the London’s warm, welcoming and exciting Christmas atmosphere and celebrations.
